This project required demolition of all interior construction within the future MRI suite, excavation and construction of the MRI equipment pad, construction of the RF shielded MRI room, and all electrical and mechanical requirements for the 1.5 Tesla MRI machine.

The project also involved installing a chiller within the basement equipment room, and installing interconnecting piping and controls to the MRI suite.

In addition, Meade Construction Group, Inc. built a self-contained suite for the MRI function including reception, waiting room, changing rooms, restrooms and other administrative and support spaces.

To facilitate efficient construction and infection control, Meade removed exterior glazing and arranged for all access to the suite to use this temporary entry, eliminating any cross traffic or construction access to the active Hospital.
