For an important researcher at the Stanford School of Medicine we were required to renovate office and old cold room spaces into a modern laboratory / research space to support studies on the behavior of mice.

The available space was in the basement of the hospital but construction of it required connecting chilled water piping to the roof penthouse four stories up.

Access to this location was a challenge as it is in the center of a huge medical school complex. As a result transportation of debris and construction materials was a logistical challenge.

This project was required to comply with stringent OSHPD construction standards and also meet even stricter requirements for animal research facilities. This was accomplished through detailed planning and careful execution of each stage of the work.
