This challenging OSHPD project took place in a high-traffic area in the basement of this busy hospital.

Our project involved removing all finishes and live utilities from the Engineering Shop and constructing a state-of-the-art MRI imaging suite.

A 24” foundation slab was built beneath the hospital and a fully RF shielded room was constructed. Ancillary patient rooms, waiting rooms, doctors offices and support facilities were also built.

An existing MRI was relocated from a building across the parking lot. To facilitate this move, ceilings, doorways and the main hospital corridor had to be modified so the magnet could pass through.

Utility upgrades and support work included a new power feed, FM 200 system, a Control Room and MRI equipment Room as well as enhanced cooling and control systems.
